How to play

1. On a computer, choose beginner, intermediate, or expert with the controls above the board. On a phone, select the difficulty label in the toolbar.
2. Open your first cell. It and all in-bounds neighbors are safe.
3. Use the numbers to find mines and mark them with flags.

The timer begins with the first opened cell. On computers, left-click opens and right-click flags. Touch screens use only the visible Open and Flag switch below the board, not a long press. Intermediate and expert boards scroll sideways inside the board while keeping cells comfortably sized.

Retry and share

A board is reproduced from its difficulty, seed, first cell, and rules version. Shared URLs do not contain mine coordinates. A shared board starts with its first cell open.

Repeating the same board lets you revisit difficult decisions and improve your route and time. You can use it to track your own progress or compare results with family and friends under the same conditions.

Records

Best times, clear counts, and seeded-board results are saved in this browser. Seed history is limited to the latest 100 entries. There are no accounts, public rankings, server database, or cross-device sync. See the privacy policy for details about saved data and deletion.

Limits

SweepTap does not guarantee no-guess boards and does not include custom boards, a solver, or online matches in the MVP.

Independent implementation

The board generator, game logic, and interface on this site are independently implemented. SweepTap is not an official service of any operating system, game publisher, product, or organization.

Editorial policy

The SweepTap team edits the guides and fixed pages by checking the game interface and tested game logic. When game rules, saved data, or shared URLs change, we review the affected pages and update their review dates.
